ISTE Teacher Standard 3. Model digital age work and learning
Overview
"Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society."
a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situationsI really enjoy learning new technologies and increasing my expertise level in programs I'm already familiar with. I had the opportunity to improve my HTML and CSS knowledge in Intermediate Web Design, and I'm proud of the functionality of my final project website. I wish I had more graphic design skill, but the website itself works well and Artifact One shows off my intermediate web development skill. I had an opportunity to transfer my knowledge of online teaching to the BlackBoard SIS format in my Teaching Online Classes. My second artifact is my reflection from my online class. I was very pleased with how my session turned out and my students enjoyed it as well.

b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovationWe use digital tools almost constantly as a way to keep parents informed about student progress and as a professional development tool for our staff. Artifact one is a sample of the online goal notebook I created for our 4th grade students and parents. Using a Google spreadsheet, the parents are able to see their student's progress monitoring, their goals for the week, and can fill out a Google Form to ask questions and confirm they checked the notebook. Artifact two is a padlet I used with our staff while doing professional development about refining our building's PLC collective commitments.
